CANDIDATE FOR COUNTY TREASURER
Janice Allen Trant of Piedmont filed in early December for the Grimes County Treasurer’s position on the Republican Primary ballot. Janice is a lifelong resident of Grimes County with five generations of her family having been active in business, community, and county affairs.
Janice is a conservative and pledges as the next treasurer she will work diligently for all the people and to treat citizens and employees with respect.
Janice’s qualifying expertise includes over 35 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience, specializing in cash receipts and disbursements, tax preparation of quarterly reports, year-end reports, sales tax reports, Federal W-2s, W-3s, W-4s, 1096 and 1099s.
In the private business sector, she has calculated cattle sales for both buyers and sellers, prepared checks, invoices and received payments. Her work experience also includes:
